The Streak is Dead. Long Live the Streak!

Three weeks ago, I announced the start of my first running streak. Sadly, that streak ended one week ago after only fourteen consecutive days, a casualty of the terrible cold that has been dogging me for almost a week.

But just as sovereignty passes immediately from one monarch to the next upon the death of a king or queen, I'm finding myself motivated to launch a new streak on the heels of the old one, having managed to (at least mostly!) shake this cold, and having seen the benefits of running every day, brief though that streak ultimately was.

So... the new streak starts tomorrow! And this time around, I have company! Ean's decision to start her streak was just the motivation I needed to launch my new one.

So... to adapt that immortal proclamation that has closed almost every coronation since 1422: The streak is dead. Long live the streak!

See you on the trail.

Ashley, I'm loving the historical slant to your new streak! Along with our name, FCTR Streakers, we're going to need a rallying cry in order to promote esprit de corps amongst our streaking accomplices.

"Long Live the Streak" is very chantable.

Any other suggestions?

Love it, Ean! Hope your streak is going well; I'm still hangin' in there.
