Hooray for Improvisation!

Most of the time, having a great day requires careful planning. Sometimes, though, one spontaneous act leads to a lot of fun.

Yesterday I headed out on the trail in my snowshoes, eager to get in a lot of climbing in preparation for my upcoming snowshoe races. The snow was perfect, the sun came out partway through... and then guess who I ran into on my way down the hill?

It was a fantastic, totally spontaneous outing, and we had a great time. Three cheers to wingin' it!
